I have said from the beginning that I’m not here to belittle my own black race at all. To do that only shames the process of sharing ideas, and wanting to inspire those who truly want to make an honest change in their lives for the better.
However, for black people to grow, we need to stop holding onto the past, by instead embracing our present and making a future with those who have blessed us to be a part of something so beautiful.
American culture is amazing to me and I’m so glad that I’m a part of it.
Reading from “LITTLE BEAR THOUGHTS – book by Sharon Lee Davies-Tight,” It is told to us that “it’s time for the black and brown communities in America to become Americans. The key is to evolve.”
It goes on to say “blacks keep eating the same foods that the slaves ate. Why do that? You do a disservice to the slaves to continue in that heritage. They don’t want that for you. They want for you what they didn’t have. But they also want for you, what they did have that you lack. I don’t have to tell you what that is.”
As a transparent black man I’m not sure why we have turned our backs on wanting to become Americans, and I hate knowing that we have made our slave ancestors disappointed in our behavior towards whites.
What the black slaves had back then that we lack today, is respect for white people and the society that they have created for us. Black slaves showed respect for the society that they lived in, and understood the importance of helping out in anyway, in wanting to create a better world for everyone that came in after them.
All we have done is destroy their hard work, and now we’re using the “black church” as a way to perpetuate violence and racism towards white people, and especially white cops.
Every black person should read the book, “And The Walls Came Tumbling Down: An Autobiography” by Ralph David Abernathy, so we can see the true light of Mr. King, and how his behavior destroyed good work being done by other black men, who were working with, and not against white people.
I mention that book, because it speaks to the following paragraph from “LITTLE BEAR THOUGHTS – book by Sharon Lee Davies-Tight” about Mr. King, and how his behavior was nothing short of racist and violent:
“Maintaining the Social Order: Isn’t that why Martin Luther King Jr. was killed? Because he branched out beyond the scope of ‘Negro’ problems? When he started to walk his talk to the world–when he stepped beyond his own handicap (and in his day being black was a handicap)–Bam, Bam, one more person trying to upset the apple cart with his talk about equality and organizing the poor–all poor–of all nations–shot dead–never again to whisper sweet nothings in his darling’s ear, never again to speak out, never to upset our apple cart again. It didn’t work did it? That apple cart is about to get tossed. The blacks don’t own Martin Luther King. You Own You Only.”
Having an open mind when reading that paragraph, you’ll see that choosing God and ourselves over black men who wish to play God, only takes us away from loving ourselves and those that have supported us for hundreds of years.
We don’t need leaders like Martin Luther King Jr….All we need is ourselves and God: We need to stop looking outside of ourselves for leadership, and understand that we have people all around us that want to see us become wonderful people, in a society that we continue to take advantage of.
I will no longer take advantage of this wonderful country and the people in it. Instead, I want to say thank you so much for allowing me to be a part of this amazing society, and please understand that I would never want to be a part of anything else in my whole life.
