artificial intelligence used against inmates in prison

It has been said that technologies for peering into the human mind are violations of the Fourth and Fifth amendments as well as a fundamental affront to human dignity.

Every inmate across the country must know that along with all the good that has come from various new technologies introduced into our facilities (tablet, fiber-optic cable, wifi, etc.) lots of “bad” has come as well. Officials in prison and jail have installed illegal, unprecedented, and severely invasive Artificial Intelligence (A.I.) systems to monitor our every move and to conduct investigations which severely violate our constitutional and human rights.

I am incarcerated. I stand accused. Yet, I stand powerfully with the integrity of a man fighting for his freedom and I expect the same dignity shown by officials sworn to duty by the state of Arizona. That is definitely not the case within the confines of the Pinal County Adult Detention Center. According to the Arizona Luminaria, a nonprofit newsroom dedicated to truly local news and community-centered journalism, our Sheriff, who ran for senate on a platform of Law and Order, allegedly used $200,000 of an inmate service fund to illegally purchase firearms, vests, and ammo. His chihuahua lapdogs like the jail commander, chief of security, jail intel unit, and “complicitors,” are subjecting non-consenting pretrial minority detainees to illegal investigative A.I. technology that is damaging on multiple fronts.

The tactical war of A.I. against inmates is real. One only needs to look to the past to realize that similar technologies were first devised 100 years ago! Now, simply imagine the evolution of these same investigative technologies being armed into the extremely more advanced, vast, and revolutionary A.I. of 2024…

In 1924, Hans Berger devised EEG wave detection brain fingerprinting where, theoretically, the brain processes unknown or irrelevant information and known or relevant information differently. If details of a crime were present in the brain of a suspect, this should be revealed by a specific pattern in the EEG wave. Brain fingerprinting uses P-300 brain response to detect the recognition of known information.

In 1995, this same technology was evolved into P-300 MERMER to have a less than 1% error rate.

Today, 100 years later, in 2024, a corrupt sheriff, and his helpers have extremely more advanced, vast, and severely invasive A.I. readily at their disposal that is inspired by past controversial investigative technologies. They utilize it illegally to further shift the balance of an already top-sided justice system against inmates and do so with absolute impunity by using as tactical advantages:

  • Their badges
  • The many stigmas associated with incarcerated people
  • The knowledge that poor inmates cannot afford paid attorneys and that state appointed public pretenders (defenders) will do nothing to intercede

What is this technology? On the lower end of the spectrum, it is Voice-Cloning A.I. that jail officials have utilized in Machiavellian like maneuvers to incite unsuspecting inmates to attack each other in mostly solitary confinement settings that give jail staff the tactical advantage. The voice of one inmate that officials hate is “cloned” and used to disrespect another inmate that they also dislike. One is assaulted. The other incurs additional criminal charges. All the while, both inmates are oblivious to the fact that they’ve just been played by jail officials. (This is only the tip of the iceberg, with jail and prison officials, gang intel units, law enforcement, rogue or otherwise, using voice cloning capabilities to incite inmates, spread strategic misinformation, illegally obtain intel and information from unsuspecting inmates in closed-off solitary confinement units where inmates cannot see each other, and can only hear one another behind walls, visitation stalls, cells, etc.)

On the extremely more advanced, severely intrusive, and higher end of the spectrum is the unprecedented and profoundly vast capability to access inmates minds in a non-consensual manner to perform brain fingerprinting techniques, non-consensual hypnosis techniques while the inmate is unconscious or semi-conscious, the ability to read minds, imagery, thought patterns, speeding or slowing the inmates’ mental functions based on attempted objectives, the ability to also access solitary confinement cells per audio through speaker like systems.

All technology techniques used in strategic relentless attacks and with a malicious intent are reminiscent of old-world inquisitions, only this time with the use of extremely advanced technology that one might fathom that a rogue soldier might use on captured enemy combatants on foreign lands, but never in the United States.

“You don’t play fair; we don’t play fair” This is their motto.

“You don’t play fair; we don’t play fair” is the motto blatantly being represented by users of illegal A.I. on inmates. ”We have declared war on all gangs; we will destroy you,” they proclaim. Yet they fight like cowards hiding behind their technology. Threats of future charges are made daily. They claim to be working in collaboration with county attorney’s office, FBI led task forces, the Corrections Intelligence Task Force (C.I.T.F), Federal Bureau of Prisons (BOP) and other agencies whose collective mission is to integrate intelligence and operations to initiate and or enhance law enforcement efforts through this identification, exploitation, and dissemination of intelligence derived from corrections facilities.

I cannot say with absolute certainty that the C.I.T.F is complicit as they claim, but I can say that other joint intelligence task forces, like the C.I.T.F., stand to gain immensely from the illegal use of investigative A.I. even if it means violating our constitutional and human rights as well as state and federal law.

This Tactical War of A.I. against inmates is not only a system problem, it is also a direct attack on the very core of humanity and on the constitutional invasion of privacy protections that are firmly valued by all citizens under the mighty sun! It must be confronted and battled against until its absolute finality. Today it is used on inmates. Tomorrow it will be utilized on you or your family.

To sit idle and do nothing is to perpetuate both its illegality and its fundamental affront to human dignity. If anyone anywhere across the country is confronted by the illegal and unprecedented use of A.I. by officials, by all means, say nothing. Immediately and always invoke your right to remain silent and demand your attorney. Demand that they cease and desist, ask them to present any and all legal documentation including a warrant signed by a judge. Bottom line: proceed with honor, principle, and purpose, but fight them on all levels (to protect yourself and your human rights).

Paul Matus is a gangster by blood, warrior by destiny, with a profound connection to the sacred ancestral winds that have scattered the jade stones of knowledge upon his warpath. He strives daily, through darkness and light, to become the physical embodiment of honor, principle, and purpose. In war he was born, In war he lives, In war he shall die...
